We are arranging a meeting on 23may specially for 2004/2003 applicants with more than 20 attendees from various cities in punjab. Please spread the word to anyone from 2004/2003. there willbe lunch/snacks and timing is planned to be from 11am to 3pm. everyone will pay for themselves.we are also trying to have some wifi access so that applicants sitting in other coutnries can also share their views ad there are some other things planned for raising our voice in india/canada. We had applied on Sept2004.Updated document on DEC.2008.Nothing received after that? any one can explain our fault applying before rule change same category got visa in fast track >I talking New Delhi embassy .I am Punjabi.
We should unite make litigation against them in Canada

We had applied in Feb 2004 and updated docs in Sep 2008 and still nothing.we are being played for a fool by the canadian government. they need to reply to us or show us a way to get our visa. and we are meeting on 23rd for the same purpose. we are trying to get contacts of Ujjal Dosanjh,the canadian MP and some punjabi veers in the canadian media. Hi Everyone,
I enjoyed reading the thread, so I joined this forum. I filed my case in Manila Dec. 2006, I got a letter from CIC last year asking me if I'm still interested to continue my application. Last month I also got a letter from Alberta about "welcome kit", asking to log-in to their website. Last 3 years ago I migrated my family in Singapore then last year I change my citizenship as Singaporean.
Hopefully, there will be feedback from CIC, as what they've said in my inquiry last 3 months ago. I sympathy all the long waiting time to get the result of our application, hope it will come soon.

My application was received on 22nd Feb 2007.
Had got the AOR in 45 days and then a letter in 2009 asking if I was still interested.
Nothing after that.

Hey guys. . .
I also applied in nOV. 2004 AND AM ALSO WAITING EVEN TILL DATE. i RESUBMITTED MY PAPERS IN DEC 2008 AND NO REPLY AFTERWARDS. I think instead of looking forward to protesting against canadians, we should urge our government to rather talk to their government and do something for old applicants.

hello I just want to share our timeline and experience on applying for FSW. We applied for FSW last june 2005 and last nov 2008, the CIC sent us a letter asking us if we are still interested in pursuing our application and they have given us an option in refunding our application processing fee. My husband and I decided to wait for the processing time and up to now it is almost 5 years, no progress yet, my husband is working in Singapore right now and he is PR there already.
In my case, i grab the opportunity to be a live in caregiver here in Canada and I am almost done my 24 months on August this year and getting ready to apply for PR again. I am just upset about our application last 2005, i am just wondering if thet can consider my husband's application as Immigration instead of me applying again for PR and paying the application fee again.
I hope anyone can enlighten me with our case. Thanks for the help!

I also applied in march 2007 , and in march 2009 they send and ask for my documents , up to date iam still waiting, i am from trinidad and they say it take between 48 months and 37 months has gone already but still hopin for the best

I am puzzled why your husband after getting his Singapore PR, why doesn't he apply for his Singapore citizenship? I understand there are numerous who after having their Singapore citizenships, still apply for Canadian PRs. Is Singapore just a stepping stone to Canada? |

hi ! my husband's chance of working and being a PR is just I think not really part of our plan, let's just say it is a blessing. Before i left for Canada, he was called by an employer for a work there, after a month, he applied for PR there in Singapre last 2008 and he had it. Singaporean citiznship cn be achieved I think after three years of stay there. Being citizen there in Singapore waived you to get a visa to go in Canada, I think it is a plan B for us. He said if i go on vacation this year, he is telling me to get my PR to in Singapre, most people say it does not affect of hoe many PR you have as long as when you have your citizenship, you choose only one country. I hope our FSW before I apply for the PR as per LCP program will brought about some result. It is too hard to wait for that FSW, I am so disappointed, how come the applications after the Feb 2008 is much faster than ours, i hope the CIc will look into that.
