I'm joining you ... yeah I'm a newbie. I sent my application in December 2011, CIC received it in January 4, 2012.
I'm sponsoring my husband and I am living in Iran with him until he gets his papers (hopefully soon). I am living here in Iran for the last 10 months and am married for 2 months. Hope to learn from your experience.

hello to everyone.
here is my timeline
application to sponsor on May 21, 2010.
started processing your application on June 23, 2010.
transfr my file to ankara on March 7, 2011.
interview is April 19, 2011.
refusal letter 23 april.
we applied for appeal 4 may 2011
and we got 1 letter from appeal office says we got your file.
but we didnt hear anything after that. it was too long and i dont know why its happened like this.
and we are still waiting for date from court in winnipeg.. they said our marriage is not genuie. and the refusal reason on it. they didnt believe my words when i have interview.. i need some advice.
we lost our lawyer and cant afford to get new one for now. probably my wife will go to court by herself..can it be a problem for us?

Hi friends
The Sri Lankan Canadian Emabassy called my husband for an interview on Feb 14,2011. I am so worry about it. They didnot ask him to re do medical. Its already expired 2 years ago. So I think they going to refuse the visa again. what do u guys think about it

The IO's don't ask for an interview if they have already decided to refuse, they would just refuse. The interview just means they need more information. Is this his first interview? Two years seems a long time for the medical to have been expired. Is it possible this is a security interview? Lynn |

They probably just want more info. Make sure your hubby is clear on the details of your relationship as well as the time spent overseas...especially Malaysia. I have no proof, but I suspect it was the time my husband spent in Malaysia that delayed his security check. I understand that malaysia is notoriously slow in all things bureaucratic. So any proof or documentation he has from that time may be helpful to have on hand. But really that is just my speculation...CSIS isn't exactly forthcoming on their activities and timelines. Lynn |

almost 3yrs and no sign of light as yet. Spouse application sent June 2009, intervied April 2010, denied letter June 2010. Applied appeal July 2010.. still waiting on appeal..... its depressing..........

hello
im very new in this forum and need your guideline
my husband sponsor me from canada , im living in pakistan but our case was refuse because my husband not live in canada , because of his job nature , he is marine engineer.
we appeal in march 14 than got a letter for submit some prof in 28 days , we submit in 28 july but still now we never get any news.
please tell me when will our case come on line , it will be come on adr.please tell me
