If you don't mind me asking...what was the reason for the denial? My husband has an interview next week...they have asked to bring his passport, proof of financial situation, and proof that he wants to reside in Canada. Just looking for opinions and information. Thanks!

hi hambzik ,
the appeal process timeline almost the same, but , after the appeal allowed ,
when the file comes beck to the  the visa office from canada , it moves fast , in New dehli ,
as such other visa offices .

I too thought so, however, My appeal was allowed in June first week, they requested pp last month and i am still waiting. In coupel of weeks it will be 6 months. So I dont see any fast processing for these cases.

Hopefully they will send soon.

We had our appeal last April. My husband redid his medical and police clearance last summer, and
last week he finally got his PPR, he mailed it off and today it just arrived in the mail. My husband is finally coming to Canada

chc new dehli normely gets , the passport while , securty checks , you can hear from them at any time now.

mine was , marrage is not geniune,
be prepaid him , for knock out questions from visa officer, which he can be start from the middle of the interview,
and tell him , dont be confeuse,
and make planty of documents as a evedance, to spport your self to settel in canada, good luck

Hi Everyone,

Here is my timeline for Toronto/Kingston Office.  Since my case a bit complex, I hired an immigration lawyer. The cost is about $3000 +HST + Admin/Doc Fees.  We were able to practice back and forth, answers & questions, prepare cover letter and address all concerns with the VISA Officer and bring in additional docs. Congrats to all those who have made it through after the appeal process!!

Application field: Oct 2009 (conjugal class)
Interview: Feb 2011 /Denied
ADR: Sept 7th 2011/Successful
Re-processing at visa office: Oct 5th 2011

Visa issued ?

I am wondering how long it will take to get the Med- Redo request?   Rathika, like lovebird said.. wait until you get the letter. You need to know the exact reason on why you were denied. If you have field for bankruptcy in the past or is on social assistance, you might not be eligible. As usually there is no certain amount required to sponsor a spouse?

I never thought one day I would be part of this kind of group.  We were SO SURE my husband and I to get visa.

March 31, 2011......... Application received at Rabat, Morocco
June 27, 2011........... Visa office phoned my husband to ask his wife (me) to pay for visa asap and was also told his chances were good to travel to Canada with me after my visit to him during summer
July 2011.................. Medicals received
Sept. 12, 2011........... Interview (40 minutes)
Mid-October 2011....... E-cas showed "In Process"
Nov. 4, 2011.............. E-cas showed "Decision made"
Nov. 14, 2011............ My husband received refusal letter stating our relationship is not genuine.  The said letter does not give any reasons, arguments or facts.  We doubt it is because of age difference (I am 20 years older)
Nov. 21, 2011............ Hired the services of an immigration consultant and notice of appeal was signed and sent today

Habibti , sorry to hear you were denied. It's great that you acted on it right away. The VO should have given you a reason on why your application was refused. I believed I read somewhere if that information is not provided/ or the VO did not provide a valid reason, your chances of success is very good. It's great that you got an immigration consultant to help you with your case. Good luck

This is what **spam** told me... the information not provided in the letter plays in our favor.  And the other thing that plays in our favor is the phone call my husband received in June.  We were given false hopes!!!  And there are other things that play in our favor, but it would be too long to say here.

I read you had your ADR in September, is that right?  Would please share your experience with me so I can get mentally prepared?

Thank you for your help. We have been preparing a much as we can and have as much evidence as we could gather. I wish you will be reunited with your spouse soon, I know it's a long wait.
