HI everyone...so my lawyer is charging 6000 for this whole thing as well. Last friday they faxd in the Appeal to the dept..I am in Toronto. So now...the lawyer says 3 to 4 months till my file comes back here. and then we will know after a while if we are getting adr or not.
How long does it take once they make a decision of adr and get a date in toronto...any idea?
Good luck to everyone here and I believe we will all win this...Nothing is going to break us!

i dont know what to tell u ...didn't ur lawyer request for a adr after ur file came back from the embassy? my file came back mid of march and in april she had send some more evidence and request for an adr. but haven't heard anything from them as of yet she had send another request end of may hapoing to get a adr . call ur lawyer and ask him to call ur case worker and find out more about when u will be getting a date for ur hearing . cause normally if it is a full hearing then 20days before the hearing date u have to submit all the evidence.. gd luck |

I have no idea about that but my lawyer said normally if they select u 4 an adr then that means that ur case is a strong case. and if they know they will lose at the full hearing then they normally select the case 4 an adr.. |

NONO habibti.....you wont lose ....i was saying what my lawyer said. if our case was straight forward case and a strong case with no previous marriage no kids and try to sponsor ex-spouse then most likely we will get seleced for an adr....i know a lot of people with straight forward case go through a full hearing too....so by going to full hearing doesn't mean u will lose...i pray for u habibti wish u the best on the hearing and keep us update with the hearing |

Not yet... I am leaving for Morocco 6 days after the hearing. I hope you can get a date soon! I will include you in my prayers. I think I will shout with joy if we win lol Enjoy the last days with your husband. I am going to spend a full 2 months with my husband. Again my heart is going to break when I will leave him behind... but if we win this appeal, I will leave also with joy knowing he will follow me |

For our case, there was a red flag.... 20 years difference between my husband and I (I am older). The visa officer took notes at the interview but somehow lost them as she rewrote them 7 weeks later and all she wrote was false and wrong. On top of that, our application was weak. Hi forumer's!I just new on this site,We were the same boat as you guys encountered got refused over the age difference!We Apply our application last 2008 the VO refuses my wife visa because they dont believe tha our marriege is genuine,and I widraw the application cause somebody told us that it's cost us a lot of money to appeal like 20thou dollar which we found out that only 3000 dollar..after six months we reapply again and suddenly lost again because we didnt tacle the issues,and finally decided to appealed the decision!I went back to the country where my wife from which in the Philippines,within six month at the time stayed with her!And when I with back to my home country I sent a letter to immigration that I am now in canada and ready for the appealling,..We had our appeal last feb.23 2012 and after 3 weeks we got our letter's stating that our appeal is allowed last March 08,2012 but I recieve the letter March 20, 2012! what are the next step of this process?Until now my wife hasnt get any info like redo med,or passport reguest?does anyone experience this?How long does the Visa office review the file since our files transfer to Manila VO last March 20 , 2012!..
