SINP sent me an e-mail when I asked whats going on. All they said was "This file is in process. No documents are needed at this time". The wait is killing me  |

hi dont_give_up! yesterday u advice me to call..is that really fine to give them a call and follow up my status? I was wondering where to start talking to someone out there. is that really ok? and one more thing, is there any way with me to see the status of my application thru E-cas? I don't know why I can't see update using Ecas. I know im doing the procedure right but why I can't see my status. |

you are absolutely confused between SINP online status check and CIC E-cas status check,
You have applied in SINP not in CIC.. you don't have any E-cas number to check because you haven't applied in CIC yet.. you will get E-cas when you will apply to CIC after nomination.
Now what you have is SINP file number... First if you have sent paper application then you have received SINP application number (i.e 10XXXXX) via email, you can't check status online because you have applied "PAPER APPLICATION"
IF you have applied "ONLINE APPLICATION" in SINP then you can check status online because you have "User Name" and "Passwrod". you have to have user name and password if you have applied online.

oh I see...grrrrr....  I ask u bout that before why u didn't tell me right away lol...anyway now I understand why...I thought nothing really happen to my application. but still, I am now on the 11th month and no update yet. how about you? how many months ur application as of now? |

Hi rainy_june,
Its 14 months to my application now.. i called SINP and all she said my application is in process... i asked how long will i have to wait further.. she said we don't know but its in process... and kept saying this... you can call and follow on... basically now Family member stream changed to Family Referral and almost impossible to apply in family stream now... this change was due to the high number of family stream application intake due to lenient requirements... even one supporting family member supported 20+ family application at a time... this has led to increase processing time to infinite that SINP people themselves don't know the processing time limit of family applications that were filed before change...
