The Government of Canada announced on 29 March 2012 a plan to reduce the backlog of Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) applications by returning all applications and government fees submitted prior to 27 February 2008. This will amount to a total of almost 300,000 returned applications, as well as approximately $130 million in refunded government processing fees.

Approximately 160,000 FSW applications, submitted after 28 February 2008, will remain in queue for processing.

FSW and SINP are different or both are same.....Huh?
plus there is NO any SINP pending application is in que from 2008.

Wow! It has increased? It's almost thesame time line with federal family re-union.

The number is on SINP website. A lazy old but rather helpful lady responded. On a separate note is there anyone on the forum, or are you aware of someone whose timeline are more than 12 months.

Hi Everyone!

New on here, so I'm hoping you can offer some advice.

I have applied for SINP under the skilled worker process.  I have an immigration consultant who is acting on our behalf, and she has been great.  She sent our application off in November 2011 and we received a AOR and file number on the 21st November 2011.

I understand that the processing times have increased, so what is the current processing time now?  I have had a look throught the threads on here, but as there's so many, I may have missed the answer to my query  Embarrassed

How do I also post my timeline on here?

Thanks

It's titling towards 6-9 months but when you call them they say it's 4-6months. Currently sinp has adapted the "we are recieving higher volumes of application than normal" phrase. The above time frame varies. A lot of factors come into play. E.g if you get additional doc request, it extends the timeline by 45working days. Hope this helps?

Thanks Biometrix.  Smiley

I asked **spam** the same thing via email today and she confirmed it was 4-6 months and was going to chase the status of my application by the end of this month.  I am not holding out for this time frame though, If I prepare for the latest, and I hear sooner then it will be a bonus.

My application will have been in 5 months next week, no requests for additional docs yet, maybe I won't have to ?? Roll Eyes

We can hope hey!

Cheers for your help  Grin
