Hello rhare,

in your letter for your medical did you find any of the below statements?

"It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent resident status. “

or

"We have completed the initial assessment of your application and expect to finalize your application without a personal interview."

or

"This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada, Your interview has been waived."

or

"This refers to your application for permanent residence within Canada on humanitarian and compassionate grounds."

Your response is much appreciate.d

I'm so sorry for the late response. I thought I was getting emails everytime someone posted in here and clearly that's not happening.
To answer your question, none of the above.
It plain and simply said "As part of the residency application process, please do your medicals. blah blah blah. 3 attachments, take them to one of the reigstered doc's on our website.
It states nothing about the likely hood of everything being approved. It actually states in the email to not make any decisions based on the request.

Hi guys,

My medical results have been received by Ottawa office yesterday.

I know, this may sound dumb. But, just want to check. Based on the trend, does anyone know how long it might take to receive Passport request after completing medicals.

Thank you.  Smiley

Hey,
I went digging around in other forums (December applicants, November... and so on).
With the exception of a few people who are still waiting, those who continued to post their stats averaged about 7 weeks. (That's a very broad average too)
Unfortunately, there's also A LOT of people who's last status was 'My medicals were received', but then don't post anything after that.
(I assume it's because they got their PPR and never came back to this site!)

According to what my doc said, my medicals should be on their way to Ottawa right now, and received by Monday I presume.
Have you received any emails or anything from them indicating they have received?

Can't imagine some of you are already getting Meds request.
My file was submitted on Feb 9th, and I just got AOR on May 29th from CPP-Ottawa office. What a delay!
on the email it has mentioned something about non-resident application will delay process of something. Yesterday I have moved back home since I didn't want to kill my time as visitor in Canada. which means I should do my medicals in here back home. does anyone have any ideas if I should informed them I'm out of Canada?

If I were to inform them I'm outside of canada, do you think they will transfer my file to local immigration processing in  my country?
(I have my friends' address in Canada as mailing address for now)

THanks,  any replies will be appreciated

Hi yyy0404,

I guess it is better to update them with your current address. but again as now most of time they communicate through email not sure whether this is good idea to be 100% honest.

anyway wait for our seniors responce on this and take call.... as if they tranfer to local office back home may be again further delay .....so do your best call ..

thanks

Thank you rhare,

I did not receive any e-mails regarding medicals being received by Ottawa, but I have tracked my results with the Canadapost tracking number given by my DMP. I see that the results were received by Ottawa office in 28th May.

Also, do you have any idea on when do we need to pay the RPRF fees ?

All these days, viewing address on e-cas used to be a sign getting closer to the PPR. But now, it seems they are updating the e-cas for everyone.  Roll Eyes Not sure if this is happening for everyone.

I be better not to predict anything and will wait for the final call from the Visa office  Lips sealed

Hi There,

What happens after medical? I heard there is a security check as well which may take long time.

Should we send police certificate from all countries we lived or from Canada only?

Thanks,

all countries where you lived 6+ months if you're over 18
security checks whatever man, my belief that these checks take 3 or 4 weeks tops, and the most serious ones are done same day on a computer they have which is connected to the interpol. the only reason processing is taking 1 to 9 years is quotas. I am 100% certain that sons of politicians from my country who are mostly murderers can immigrate to Canada in mere months becuase they have connections.
security shmecurity. when I got my entry visa it took them a month to process, they spend around 2 weeks to pocess visitor visas in most coutnries, and they claim they check anyone and everyone who comes in Canada for security. How come these 2 weeks stretch to 6 years?Huh
thye'r ejust playing with our lifes to satisfy quotas.
