Consultant Issue.............. I think there is very little scope for the consultants to work at this moment as the new forms are very simple to fill up online. Actually, they have nothing to do except filling the form. Applicant has to arrange all supporting documents and they only fill the form and drop which any person (if eligible to apply under FSW) can do easily. Moreover, if anybody applies through consultant, he is handicapped in one sense that anything he has to do through consultant. Post june 2010 system is very simple to apply by own. Many people applied without consultant and got visa. So why wasting a huge amount for only filling up the forms? Anybody can take free consultancy from this forum (perhaps only one of this forum asks for consultancy. Be aware of him) BR Ahsan

Hello Everybody,
Those who are coming soon, Please bring enough first aid medication for yourself and your families, for the first time you may experience difficulties to purchase them in Canada because those are too costly. Your first aid medical box may include the followings:
1. pain and fever relief medication 2. anti histamin drugs (i.e Histacin...) 3. Anti depresion (Mineral, Stemitil etc) 4. Anti alergetic 5. Antibiotics (consult yr dr) 6. eye, nusal drops for kids 7. Any Drugs in Metronidazole grups (Flagyl etc) 8. Any Prescription drugs you do have
Others : 1. Eye glasses at least two pares (min cost of a Glass her $180, with terrible looking frame) 2. please see your Dentist and do your treatment fully (if any), one consultation to dentist may cost you here ($100-$200)
Take Care

Hello all, Can anyone tell me how much time it takes from the " application filed date" to " receive the application in BD (Dhaka bashi to be specific)" if an application is returned due to cap reached? I filed my application on December 14, 2011 under NOC 2121 and guessing by the posts in this forum that the cap was reached by mid-October. Planning to apply again next July if eligibility remains same. Feeling kinda worried whether I will get the application package back before that! Anyone in BD who got back the application due to cap reached previously, any input will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance. Regards A. It usually takes 1- 3 month, most probably u will get it back within February(If cap reached) Rarely post offices can lost it(May ALLAH help u)

Keshab_d, All are very good suggestions. I would like to add a little bit of detail. People should have prescription for the drugs they are going to carry, or else customs could cause problems. Prescription is not necessary for OTC drugs like Paracetamol, cough lozenge, entacyds.. but it's needed for non OTC medication, like antihypertensives (blood pressure meds), anti depressants, sedatives (epnil, rivotril, sedil etc etc), antibiotics (eg.azythromycin, ciprofloxacin). you get my meaning. You can ask your physician to prescribe the meds that you require and carry the prescription along with you, when you carry the meds to Canada. +1 for you BR munnabd

Dear all
We r 4 member. among us only yongest one has MRP. Recently I've known from PP office that, we can get MRP though our PP's will expire after 2 years. They will void the manual one. Will it be a problem as we have visas in the manual PP. I am thinking to get MRP to avoid future hassle. BD high commission is located in Otowa only. To do it from Canada is much more expensive. I need ur expert opinion.
thanks

Dear experts,
One of my friends have got email for update request from SGVO. He submitted his full dox in June, 2010 but his IELTS exam was in November 2009 (More than two years ago). I believe he does not need further IELTS as VO received his IELTS result just after 7/8 months from he obtained result. Still we wonder to know some experts' view.
Please advise.

If they do not ask for IELTS, no need. If his family status or addr change then it should be inform VO.

In fact, I heard a lot about this forum from a friend who is already residing in Canada. I have joined just today. My subject is Social welfare working in an NGO for last 8 years. I believe I can apply as a Social Worker category. I am confused how to start actually. I must not apply through an agent but can take a few idea, that's why wondering for any consultant. By the by, I have just logged in and found many persons' opinions. Thanks everyone's for their comments. Now I trust I can do...obviously I can do with the help of my brothers & sisters in this forum. Proud to be a member in this forum. Hope you will treat me as a partner. Good day to all.

It is better is you could do yourself but you need to study well first. Please got through the immigration guide. If you think you need help then go to a Canadian lawyer instead of a consultant. Check under which category you wish to apply and what are the requirements. A covering letter from a Canadian lawyer is much better than a consultant. In this forum you will fine lot of information.
Dear Mr. Badal, I need to know how I can start at first. Can you give me the link for such information? Take care, friend.

Dear Mr. Badal, I need to know how I can start at first. Can you give me the link for such information? Take care, friend.
You can explore the site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.aspwhere u will find guideline and links of forms. I can advise you to study the guideline at first. For any ambiguity, you can discuss here in the forum. Here everyone is helpful. Hope you'll find answer for each and every question. Don't make your life hell by going to a consultant.
