I'm not sure whether I shared it earlier or not, but anyway, this one is a good one to share, specially for those who are going to enter Canada soon . . . .

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/this-is-how-you-succeed-in-canada-t29170.0.html

dear Mute man,
i cannot understand why he is saying like that. Canadian gov give 400 dollars per child. So, he should get 800 dollars easily without doing anything. Secondly health care is free there so you need not to be worried about that. So, if my statements are correct he should not be Harassed much.

So, can anyone say whether i am right or wrong?
Thanks

I feel u're right! their main challenge was accepting the fact of doing survival jobs and not knowing much about the city Vancouver..Lessons learned from the post
1. accept survival job as ur primary source of fund upon landing to avoid any sort of demoralizing influence
2. kids r blessing even if u conceive right after landing, accept the gift of God and it will make your life easy in the long run ( citizenship, handsome financial assistance from Govt)
3. search for certification in ur field before u arrive in canada, jot down choices and pick the best suitable option upon landing
4. Before u decide to arrive in a city search about the city for example job opening, cost of living, provincial assistance, relatives/ friends around there as morale/initial support etc.

Samina Apa,

+1 for you.. 100% agreed.
I guess he was not aware at all about claiming child benefit, Health insurance in right time etc. So far i know, after 3 months stay, u can get health card for which you need to apply as soon as you land. If that person did that, he should not have any problem as his wife got pregnant after few months. Again, he should get around 1500$ for 4 babies. There must be something wrong. May be we dont know the finer detail.

But its true that initial landing should be Toronto other than u have something definite support/opportunity in other cities. Toronto is the most convenient city for new migrants.

Yes you are right Saif bhai,

But people have huge expectation to country like Canada, the dream land. People who are highly eligible to manage a good position even in BD has to survive to manage a cash job forgetting their earnings concerning education to be evaluated by Canadian. If you go to Bandarban right now, you may face almost similar difficulties as they don't care about your education. Who are already having very good life here in Bangladesh may not start a very pleasurable starting, hurts their ego and emotion which directly affects their social status at the end of the day.

I think after completing a preferable education someone may pick a suitable profession (may be few years later), Canada would be the appropriate place to live, but we wrongly dreamt that at the day one. Our impassionate behavior may be the result of traffic jam Wink

So far I understand from the learning of my friends we have to forget who we were, put off the ego and start a born new life to get success. Every one realizes that, some are early and some lately; who don't acknowledge realizing, they come back and start another new life in BD.

When one has to wait for indefinite period of time, it is natural for him to search for anything or everything, which would show some light at the end of the tunnel. Being in this boat, I was browsing the immigration site and came across an interesting Audit Report on SGVO. Some of these information will probably clearly indicate why SGVO is little slow and mean (to an extent) in processing our cases. Excerpt goes as following (valid as of 2010):

SVGO had 36 Full Time Equivalent Staffs in 2010 as fol:

Eight Canada-based officers (including one migration integrity officer and two medical officers [MOFs])
Four locally engaged program (LEP) officers
24 locally engaged staff

" The mission's current target for 2010 is 8,465 permanent residents, which is approximately 4% of the overseas total. As per the mission's 2010–2011 International Region Immigration Management Plan, the majority of its permanent resident movement comes from two of the countries in its territory (Bangladesh and Vietnam). It has also become one of the largest refugee processing missions in the world. In 2009, the mission issued 1,933 permanent resident visas under its refugee movement, which was about 13% of the total for all missions for that time frame."

" The mission has operated under the assumption that Bangladesh would be upgraded to a FSC and that this would result in the transfer of resources from Singapore to Dhaka. However, this plan was cancelled and is unlikely to be revived in the near future.

While the Republic of Singapore regularly ranks as one of the most transparent nations in the world, the rest of the territory the mission covers is far less transparent, with some areas being viewed as the worst in the world by media monitoring organizations; Fraud is prevalent in parts of the Region and includes the submission of genuine documents (including identity documents and passports) that have been fraudulently obtained; and Some of the countries in the Region remain fragile as a result of internal political pressures that may become push factors for those populations."

You can read full report at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/audit/singapore.asp .

Thanks

His greatest mistake was to choose BC. BC has less benefit  than any other province and much much expensive.   Its true for safe journey everyone should go to toronto first . If someone has relatives in other province they can depend but that is different case.

Dear all who replied,

+1 for all who replied. I think his mistakes made his life vulnerable against the situation. Toronto should be the right place to land first and then free your body to run for any further suitable place to settle.

Anyway, the victim is fine now this is the good news.

Hope for the best.

We shall overcome insallah.

Best wishes for all of us.
