I talked to my bank (St. Chartered, Sylhet branch) and Bangladesh Bank, Sylhet branch. They informed me that they can endorse in the passport only US$2500/adult and US$1500/child if one carries one way ticket to any international destination. I have purchased one way tickets for my family for toronto and they have informed me that they will be able to endorse only 7500 dollars in 4 passports(mine, my wife's and 2 daughter's). I want to be sure about this. I need your help and advice. Thanks very much.
USD 3000.00/adult

Dear RPN Bhai & Nasim Bhai,
I have also checked with several banks- like HSBC, Agrani, BASIC Bank, Mercantile Bank, etc. But they informed me the amount is USD2,000.00 in cash and USD500.00 by travellers cheque. As per their confirmation Bangladesh Bank has revised the Guidelines in December, 2009. I do not know which is the actual amount. I hope as a banker Nasim Bhai can better confirmed it for us.
Looking forward for another response from Nasim Bhai.
Regards.

I have just checked with an expert banker in this line. She confirmed me that we can take total USD 5000 per adult. But Maximum USD 2000 cash and remaining USD3000 in any other currecy (eqvt to USD 3000). But again oficially if you are visiting by one way ticket you can take half the quota (i.e USD 2500). That is the latest authentic info. But question is not that. Question is we know that there is bottleneck in bangladesh Bank law but vhow these are being solved. How the bangladeshi who are already there have faced this problem and came out successful.

Thanks Nasim Bhai.
Your effort is appreciated. Now we can come to the final conclusion that as an immigrant against an one way ticket we can bring USD2,500.00 per adult and USD1,250.00 per child. Hope this will eliminate all of our confusions regarding the fund.
Regards.

Dear Skilled Catagory Bangladeshi Applicants,
WELCOME TO ALL!
From now onwards let us start discussing only "in this TOPIC" so that it will be easy for all of us to track on issues relevant to all of us who have applied through the CHC/CIC in Singapore. However, it DOES NOT MEAN that Bangladeshis who have applied through the CHC/CIC other than Singapore can not participate here.
As a first step let us first log in all our names and the date of applications so that we will easily get an idea about how many of us are in the queue rather than searching trough page by page of the tracker. "Then it is your FORUM".....ask, discuss, inform, get informed, it will remain all open to all of you. This is good idea to be united with this link who are looking for canadian opportunities, i am a bangladesh national . i sent my initial application to the CIO, canada on january 06, 2009 ang gut a reply on feb 9, 2010 by email advising to send full dicuments to chc, singapore within 120 days. i am applying under NOC catagory 4131. is there any one in this catagory to share things mutually?
Cheers!

For funds, the rule is you have to show Liquid form of $$$. FDR, Savings, Travellers Cheques and other form of things that can be transfered to canada in No time.
i have read that some people sent Academic and CHC accepted that, but the rule is for PR applicants is that they have to submit GT of IELTS. So to be in better side, take GT of IELTS.
if you are not going to use the IELTS score for any academic purpose alongside of PR application, then obviously go for GT.
