I need assistance in one matter.
Ok, I got the visa on Feb 05, 2010 and my passport has collected from CHC Dhaka. I'm currently in Saudi Arabia. Now, how can I get back my passport in Saudi. My spouse tried through DHL/FedEx, but they refused to carry passport unless have the permission from MOFA. How to get that ? What's the procedure ? Anybody from Bangladesh or who faced the same problem, can help me out in this matter ?

Now it's time to recive your letter. Have patience for another 2-4days. My visa was stampted on 04.01.2010 and I receved it on 24.01.2010. There might have some exception (e.g.fara's case) . However, Best of luck for everything.

aullah, whats wrong with Mofa's permission? If you got a clean criminal record and didnt do anything thats against the state's interest then Mofa will surely give permission. another way is to give the passport to any Saudi bound trusted passenger that your family knows.
arjo, be 100% sure of CHC's seriousness about your passport's care. They give utmost care in this regard. you might experience a lil bit delay, but no chance of lost problem.

ecas changed to Decision made on Feb 1.
still waiting to receive passport back from CHC Dhaka.
arjo, bro we are in the same boat. did you receive the passport yet? I heard that they called some people by phone when the passport was back. do they call or send the letter? do they send the letter by normal mail or courier?

arjo bro, if you live in Dhaka you can go to CHC on Thursday between 8:00am to 12:00pm with the receipt they gave you when you submitted the passport. If you go there, they will check for you if your passport has arrived. by Thursday it will be almost 1 month since your ecas changed. so i think you should go there in person to check.

Bangladeshi who are planning to fly to Canada which flight to catch?
Etihad leaves at 6:30 am, for which we have to reach airport at 3:30 am which is very inconvenient.Cathey Pacific leaves at 1: 55 am, for which we have to reach airport at 11:00 pm which is also not that convenient.
Emirates fare is too high. Jet Airways passengers has to lay over 8-9 hours at Mumbai or at Delhi and also has another lay over at Loandon or at Brussels.
But there is one carrier (Pakistal International Airlines) which leaves at 5:30 pm and reach toronto at 15:00 on the next day. Airline gives hotel at karachi stopover. After taking full night's peaceful sleep another journey on the next day at 8:45 Pakistan time.Total journey Karachi to Toronto non stop 15 h 15 m. So it is convenient for Bangladeshis. Most bangladeshis are unaware of this flight, I belive.
It is also cheaper than Etihad, Emirates, Cathey and Jet and it allows 2 pcs (28 kg instead of 23 kg) luggage per person to toronto. What else you require?

Hello arjo,
You need not be worried at all. Yes, you can physically check at CHC,Dhk whether they received your passport with visa on it. I have found someone enquired at CHC,Dhk without receiving letter from CHC. But you have to carry the passport submitting docs to show them. Hope, in the meantiem, your passport has reached at Dhaka. arjo bro, yes you can go directly. just take the receipt with you. you can call CHC: 9887091-7. but they will tell you the same thing, i.e, to come and check.
