Hi All,

I have a couple  questions and I hope you would help me.

1- I have 5 years part time working experience in a job ( 30 hours per week- it was during my study) and 8 months full time working experiences (40 hours per week) in the job, which is in class B. Howmany scores will I receive from my working experiences? I have submitted my documents and I am not sure about the scores.

2- On 26 September 2010, I have sent the IELTS score, in your mind, by when may I receive the final decision of the Singapore VISA office?

Thanks,
 Tracy

Hi jnathan, Thanks for your answer,

I have submitted my application in April 2010, however I submitted IELTS score few days before. Still do you think they may make a decision around March 2011?

Still RbVO. another Tuesday is on the way !
hello
what a frustrating another Tuesday passed away!  i haven't seen any news in this thread.  your time seems very similar with mine  but we find no change in the e-cas status yet , as you wrote the CHC is just managing a googly processing, but do you think any justified reason behind the initiative?at least the CHC received many package of full documents in  early may ,dint they opened those IDLE boxes ?

misuk,

Only one answer to your question:  Applicants had no finite numbers, # of dealing Immig officers are.
We all will get our turn, more time will be needed.

Tracy,
They calculate work experience in case of part-time as 1/2 of full-time. In this context you will get 2.5y+8m=3year 2 months experience (note: it is not an expert opinion, rather from which I read in the application guidebook). Actually they count part time for 20h/week work and full time for 37.5h/week.

request you to share your timeline as it seems to me that your timeline is nearly similar to mine.

Hi soarer,

Thanks. I send my full documents in Aprill 2010, Singapore VISA office. They asked me IELTS on August 2010. I submitted the IELTS in September. If they count as you said, I will reject me, because my scores will be 66 based on your information. But, if they give me 20, instead of 19, my scores will be 67.

I had the same situation. My MRP was issued just before my medical, which was delivered after my medical. So up till medical I had used my previous passport in all correspondence. Thats why, when I submitted my passport, I submitted both of them attaching the 'bar code level' (that comes along PPR) on the back cover of my new passport. I also wrote a cover letter describing the situation, requesting them to stamp visa on my new passport and use my old passport for verification of all previous correspondence.

Dear sohel vhi,

pls let me know, when u are getting PP from immigration, CA authority.as my case is same as u for MRP.
and waiting for feedback.thx,Moshiur

Dear vncviewer,

About Canada Landing preparation, I assume, Each Province publishes a handbook (as I had received one from the Québec Immigration Bureau - Hong Kong, for Free) with detail information which should be available both in French and in English. Please check online for the availability and how to receive one. This handbook contains all important information starting from pre-departure procedures to after landing formalities as well as useful tips to One's successful integration to Canada.

Sincerely.

Hi Tracy,
First of all I am not an expert, I have just shared you my knowledge that I gained from different sources. Actually they considered a job full-time when the weekly working hour is 37.5. and the equivalent part-time on that basis. As you mentioned your part-time work was 30h/w, so that might earn more points for you than general concept of 20h/w part-time work. Moreover, if you calculated your experience at the time of application, it may lengthen now, because the vo calculate the year of work experience when they process the application. Information regarding this on their website are as below:

Work experience (Maximum 21 points)
You will earn points for the number of years you have spent in full-time (37.5 hours per week, or the equivalent in part-time), paid work.

Use the chart below to calculate the number of points based on your number of years of experience.
Experience Maximum 21 points
1 year    15
2 years  17
3 years  19
4 years  21
I have a questtion regarding your language test result. Are the points you shown in your initial application is different from the test result? If it is same , dont worry.

I submittedinital application in Nov09 and received doc req in Jan10, and submitted full docs in Apr10 and got AOR in the same month. Till now Received by visa office.

I think the processing now is going very slow.

Hi soarer,

Thank you for your message. I think we are quite the same, I submitted my full application except IELTS on April 8. Unfotunately, I could not get the claimed scores in IELTS. In other words, my IELTS score in reading part is 6.0 instead of 6.5. So, my total scores will be 66 if they give me 19 scores in job experiences. In contrast, if I receive 20 or 21 in job experience ( I hope, but ...), everything will be ok.

Still my status is " Received by VISA Office"

Thanks,
