Hi All,
I am in a confusion.....actually I applied for the immigration on December 2006 . My other information is given below:
Category........: FSW
Visa Office.....: Singapore
NOC Code...... : 2174
App. Filed......: 21-12-2006
Doc's Request. : 24-09-2009
Doc's Sent : 17-01-2010
IELTS Sent : 08-03-2010
Status : In Process since December 21, 2006
Now the issue is, My wife's and 1st daughter's passport has expired and got new passports. Now my question is.....do I need to update those passports information. My passport is also on the way to expire. So what should i do ?

One of my relative informed by his lawyer that he is going to receive a list just after 1 week in which disqualified applicants name of 3,00,000 who applied before 28th feb 2008 will be shown.
Do any forum members have any idea abt that?

Debasis vai,
One day out of nowhere when you were least thinking about it, you are going to find a mail. In that mail there is going to be MR, RPRF ..that day is not too far for you and other MI-1 people who have In Process with a given started processing on so and so date..
The day that you get the much desired mail could very well be next week.

2 ways 1. Send the updated passport copy by post (or dhl/fedex) with a cover letter and proper Immi file number. 2. Go to the following link and update your documents step by step. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/singapore.aspTHEN go to "Case specific inquiry". after completing couple of steps you will find a option for uploading documents. Then upload the scan copies of the required passports. |

Ameer bhai, First of all, those cases are still to pass, yet to finalize. Visa office must not share the whole list to any individual or firm. BTW, the total numbers are around 280k, not all 300. I think this is whimsically told. |

Passport change is not such issue that you have to update immediately. Definitely you have to update but it is possible later with other issues update. Visa office recommends not to update regularly unless important issues like contact address, email, representative change. |

You dont need to inform your VO of obtainment of new passports.
VO's needed to be informed only after the following circumstances
1. Wedding
2. New born
3. Address of Communication including E-mail address
4. Divorce/exclusion or inclusion of family member/Death of spouse or family members those are included in the primary application
Being a Pre Feb 2008 applicant you are at the danger zone. Since your Ecas is IN PROCESS for that long, you seem to be on the safe side. you ever ordered CAIPS after your status reached IN PROCESS?
