Pre June applicant....In Process with RBVO details, waiting for MR. In this situation, what preparations in present days can be taken so that the processing may be faster from my side after getting MR?

I've sent all the papers requested by SVO (medical reports, RPRF, updated solvency certificates, police clearance, photos) by 10th of This month. I am waiting for their response now.
I would like to covert my passport to machine readable now. They provide a new passport number for machine readable passports. Is it a wise idea at this stage to go for a machine readable passport?

Hope you will get your PPR soon. By this time, if your passport is about to expire or lost or something else, you must change and get a new one. Machine readable or not, no problem. Rather this is used internationally. All the best.

Dear seniors (who r in cannada now)

Please give me a suggestion regarding taking money to canada. I Might be landed on October2011 with 4 members family and pof 20500 cad. But I want to cary  15000/ cad. will it creat any problem.? I habe discuss with SCB regarding endorsement. As per Bangladesh bank's instruction for one way adult can endorse 5000/-usd and for chield  2500/- usd so they can only endorse 5000+5000+2500+2500=15000/- so share your openion . Share your experience also regarding this matter. I shall declare to I O actual amout what I am taking. so is there any posibility that, they can off my entry due to short of 5500 cad?

Can anyone tell me how VO inquires about POF. Do they want bank statement of last 1 year? We have been keeping the required amount of POF in our accounts till we started the processing, i.e, May 2011. So, will it be any problem? I heard that VO again wants the documents regarding POF. Do the documents need to 100% align with the documents sent first time with application package? What sort of money/asset is accepted to Singapore VO? Do they accept bonds/ shanchaypatra?

Address disappeared last week. Today the status updates to an additional line - "Medical results have been received".

Address is still not back. Do they update E-Case when they sent our PPR letter? Do they email or postal mail the request? If i am not mistaken, PPs are needed to be sent to local consulate (Canadian High Commission at Dhaka), right?

About making a MRP, i am kind of reluctant myself to get a new PP number as we are supposed to update them with this new information - which might extend the wait period. My question is that, if we do get the visa (Inshallah!), then can we then get a new MRP and have both passport together to travel? I am asking because, i have heard it from somewhere - that they give the visa length in accordance with Medical result validity or PP validity - which ever is earlier.

Any suggestions?

Hi Tasneem

Don't worry. VO will ask for last one year Bank Statement. You can show the bonds, shares and gold in your net worth statement form. Actually the VO checks if there is a regular transaction in your account or not. if the amount is as fixed deposit, then you don't have to do anything. just show it as it is.

If anyone shows FDR and after expiration he may not continue the FDR. In this case, a new FDR account will begin. I f they ask you to send the statement for 1 year, how is it possible to show? Or they don't want any such in case of a FDR?

In that case you can ask your bank to give you a letter which will state that you had an FDR previously with the same bank and it has been expired so you have started another FDR. Don't you worry guyz. If there is a problem, of course there is a solution....unless someone dies!

Yes, SGVO may ask for your net worth statement with supporting docs for last one year. Bonds/Sanchaypatra are acceptable as POF.
