To all who are waiting for ME and Visa: The new visa target for 2012 is released, Singapore Visa Office obtained 1700 visa quota for federal skilled workers (FSW) immigrants. You can read the report from the following link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/ips/economic.aspThis is a significant increase from 1100 in 2011 to 1700 in 2012, let's keep our fingers crossed! Thanks for the good news hope. But we should also be informed that the number increased cause SGV is also working for the Damascus Visa office ( Which was recently closed and worked for middle east).

Thanks for the info, Hoquebd. Darmasus has been given 900 visa targets in 2012 according to CIC info from the link I listed. Warsaw increased from 2200 to 3000, SG increased from 1100 to 1700 in my opinion is to reduce their back-log. BTW, how come SGVO will take care of Damascus VO? I thought Warsaw VO is the one to help out. Or is it that the work from Damascus is distributed to several VOs? Then why Darmasus is still given the visa targets in 2012? I am confused  |

on that info page u can see next to Singapore RPC*** and scroll down the bottom of the page there u will find the detail. yes several visa offices are now working to process middle east applications.. |

While, Darmascus only has 900 visa quota, I think it is more likely that the work load will be taken by visa offices closer to Darmascus, Cairo or Warsaw, etc, the 900 will be given accordingly. The possibility that SGVO takes care of Darmascus is quite slim. In my personal view, the increased visa quota is mainly for SGVO to solve its own backlog. As far as I know, SGVO is definitely one of the slowest VO! Only my personal thinking, thanks for sharing your thoughts! Cheers! |
