Dear Friends,

Hi to all. I have got to know about this Forum from a Colleague of mine. last few months observing but couldn't get time to Register. Now Registered and feel comfortable to be in touch with you all.

I also have applied under NOC -0213 to CIO Sydney, Canada on 4th April 2010. Later on they advised me to submit all the docs to Singapore office on June 17, 2010. I sent them all on July 2010 and get the response from Singapore office with a Permanent File Number. From August 2011 in E-CAS my status showing In Process from RBVO. January 2012 I have been advised by email to send update docs to Singapore. I have sent all the docs on 17th January. But made a mistake that they asked for TAX info and unfortunately in the TAX Certificate of Govt there was a typo with my last name as well as my father's last name. Now should I send the update Corrected one again or should not? How long will it take Singapore office to respond and go through my files? Can Anybody update give me any idea?
Also I have studied in Canada, Windsor, ON back in 2001 and came back to BD on 2002.

Welcome Raj_Hoque in the forum , To me no need to send it again and should change or corrected your tax info in 2012-13 tax year ,because at that time it would be more easier for correction . If they ask you for that document then send it otherwise no need at all and actually i dont know how long SVO would respond to your file but if SVO ask you to send your update doc in email then it would be start more faster i hope , all the best man .

Hi,

Welcome to this forum.

If your addresses and other things are okay, I feel they won't mind at all. I can advise you to stay calm and wait to hear from them. So far, many applicants have problems in many sensitive issues but your one is not. The IT return is prepared by IT advisers. FYI these documents are not mandatory but you sent, this is good.

About timeline, it is expected that Pre June applicants might receive MR by 24 months from the day of application sent with full docs. My best wishes for you, friend.

a Good part of MI-2 applicants have already received their MR's.
applicants left behind in this category are in real fear of going into backlog along with MI-1 applicants. Look back to MI-1 applicants, what is happening now to MI-2's happened to MI-1's in Early 2011. I am referring to applicants after June 2010.

Dear NKSHUMON and Deba_Avik,

Thanks a lot for your experienced comments. Actually they asked for TAX info hence I had to send this. My only worries was this as my last name and father's last name had a typo would that be a problem for me or not. Anyway some of my friends suggested me to re-send the corrected update one which I shall be received from my TAX lawyer soon for my transparency to VO with an apology letter.
This 24 months starting from my Doc submission on July 2010 or from now? Can you please correct me? I think I fall under MI-1 cat.

Definitely, you are under MI-1. 24 months from date of submission of full docs i.e July 2010.

This is not a big issue. You can send with a cover letter describing the fact. No issues. . Send them and be relaxed. But I feel it will not create any big problem may ask for an explanation at worst.  As you sent docs a few days back, they may not open your file hence you have a good chance. Hope they will take it normally.

Raj_Hoque,

Under which CIC's law they have asked you for your TAX papers?
Your visa office instruction does not say that.
This system has turned into an autocracy now and applicants should ask for written explanation.

No no I don't think they asked for it as a legal requirement. The letter for updates was merely suggesting that if you can provide, then give pay stubs/slips, work contracts, and tax papers. It is asked as a supporting document, jnathan. Nothing else. Applicant is free to submit tax papers if they have. Mainly reference letter and employment contract is enough.

Friend, nothing happened to say sorry and sorry. Your friends suggestion is alright also. You can update them with good explanations. However, if you don't, its not so critical, be 100% relaxed.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Can you please confirm me the Singapore office address to where courier documents should be sent:

Canadian High Commission
Immigration Section
One George Street, 11-01
Singapore 049145

Is the above address correct?

The reason I am asking this question is that previously I saw some postings about the address change of Singapore visa office. But When I go to Singapore office web, it shows the above address.

Please confirm me.

Thanks
Shamim
