Here is the website for U.S. immigration:

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis

Click on the link that says "Visit the U.S."

You'll need to apply for a non-immigrant visa, with "tourism" as your purpose.

Customs officials will need to be convinced that your true reason for visiting is tourism and that you have sufficient ties to your home country to cause you to return.  So you need to be very clear about your agenda and provide detailed information on what you plan to do.  Things that will make your case stronger are:

* having a well-paying job or business, to which you would return
* having a letter from your employer, stating that you have been granted X weeks of vacation for your visit
* owning your own home
* having a family, to which you would return
* having significant funds in the bank

Any documentation of these things, as well as your travel itinerary and reservations, will improve your chances.  In the end, however, it's up to the discretion of the customs official.
