I haven't seen any reject case in this forum, but I remember someone in the forum mentioned that there's max number of approvals AINP Family Stream issue in a year (something like "max 600 per year" if I remember correctly) and that it is why the process takes such a long time.
I'm sorry if I'm giving you wrong information, but I'm sure someone in the forum knows about it.

Hi. Anyone who has applied under AINP family stream can provide help on answering
1) After submission of application to AINP how long does it take for them to send first correspondence/ letter to the sponsor.
2) Does it mention the approximate time taken for nomination from AINP.
3) After the nomination is given by AINP how much time does the applicant have to file his case with the CIC local visa office?
Your help is much appreciated.

It may take up to 8 months before the first respons reaches the sponsor, the notification of assessment. After that it may take up to 36months before they nominate or reject your application. They have no average time, I have already asked them.
I will leave Q No.2 for someone else to answer.

AINP changed the processing time for Family Stream (on Aug 26).
New processing time is; Sponsor notification (pre-assessment): At least eight months Candidate assessments: At least twenty-eight months Total AINP processing time: At least thirty-six months
Now AINP uses "AT LEAST" instead of "UP TO" in all categories.

The change in timelines for family stream is much discouraging. They have not mentioned that the new time lines is applicable on applications submitted after 26 august (date of update on website) or is it applicable of on all submitted applications.
Any views?

I am interested to know that once you get nomination, while submitting the application for PR to CIC visa office do you submit all education and all work experience certificates of principal applicant and spouse and proof of funds or just the CIC application forms and you are then assessed only on the basis of medical, criminality and security issues/requirements.
The confusion is due to the fact that if I look at the visa office checklist for provincial nominees then you need submit all education and all work experience certificates of principal applicant and spouse and proof of funds and then you are assessed on medical, security and criminality requiremnts. But if I read the FAQs in family stream AINP website regarding the steps of processing it mentions that once you get the nomination then you will be assessed by CIC on medical, security and criminality issues only. Please share your experience.
