I have a question regarding the PR application process.

Once I get my Visa I understand that  I have to land in Alberta but do I have to give them my Alberta address to send the PR? If yes should I have made the arrangements prior to landing there? or can i give my friends address for the time being who is in a different province?

Please let me know as this will be very helpful.

As I understand, you land in Alberta and have a confirmed hotel reservation for a week or so in order to find an apartment. Then you go back to immigration office in your city and apply for PR card. It will come within 2 months.

Alternatively,

You already take a apartment before landing and give that address to immigration officer at airport.

Alternatively,
If you just want to land and come back to US then just have a confirmed hotel reservation and tell officer that you will apply for PR once you have a apt. You have upto 3 years to apply for PR once you have landed. Get this confirmed and educate me also as I can be wrong.

Lastly,
If you want to give a non Alberta address but are landing in Alberta, then immigration officer will suggest to apply at a later date.

Best thing is to call AINP hotline and ask them. And tell us as well.

Didn't we answer a similar question in the AINP application?

(I am not a expert and I can be wrong. I am still in US waiting for nomination)

Good thread to follow!!!
