I got mine today. The PPR request was dated May 14. So far, it has been 5 months since i applied to CIC. BTW, I had not submitted state PCC.

Congratulations Kool. Which CDN consulate handled your PR application? LA, NY,?? Did you directly get the PPR or there was status change on eCAS reflected prior to your PPR, on May 14?

Chill out.

His case is also at NY, then how come they didn't ask for PCCs. Is the PCC requirement still there on that webpage? I got state PCCs as soon as NY asked inge for PCCs. I sent them to buffalo without knowing that my case got transferred to LA. I hope my PCCs got forwarded to LA. Inconsistency remains regarding PCCs.

We should not be submitting the State Clearances unless asked. Initially we sent them all documents as per the instruction such as FBI Clearance records and home country PCC etc.

Now if they require further check, they would inform us accordingly. Sometime it depends upon the state we lived in.

I don't think your case would be faster if you do send the state PCC without them requesting it but soon they will start requesting the state PCC from everyone.

If you are not in hurry to land in Canada then you can wait until they request you any document. CIC has right to change rules at any time. I think CIC did not mention that applicants who submitted their applications prior to feb 19th will not be requested for US states pccs.

A Question related to this matter,

When a passport is requested CIC from an applicant and the applicant has already left USA, can the applicant still mail the passport from India ? Or can it be mailed from India  to a friend in USA and the friend send it to Canada embessy ? I have already given my address of communication as my friend's address in the application and all communication from CIC comes to my friend's permenant address.

I am aware that the CIC and AINP should be informed of any change of address. But I am just curious if this can be done.

Thank you for the answer

Just wanted to confirm one of your dates. Are you sure your file was received by CIC on April 20th? If you yes, did you have Federal Skill Category application in Buffalo as well?

Mine was received by them on April 23rd and today is June 29th and I have not received a thing.

Hi folks,

I am another unlucky i guess. My application was transfered to LA during late May and now I received a notice from LA consulate that I need to submit state PCC for Illinois, Kentucky and Colorado. I sent my CIC appln on Feb 16th.
