Anyone received PR card through the AINP H1B Program?

I sent my Medical back in February and have not received the passport request. I have already paid the landing fees.

Good posting.

Here's my timeline:
AOR/Medical request - May 9 '09
Medical performed and sent to CIC - May 11 '09
eCas status: able to login and see "application in process"

Waiting for passport request (or any communication from CIC)

Weird that you haven't gotten any communication from CIC - Ingegarcia sent his sometimes in March and he already got some form of communication - PCC, fee, etc.

What's your status in eCas?

I sent the Police Certificates from FBI and the state I live in, also from home country. All these documents were sent to CIC with the application.

In ECAS it says "in process".

My medical was received (as the Dr. informed) on Feb 26.  I was hoping for 2 month wait, which is April 26. But I have no answer.

Any idea how to check on this ?

They have just started PPR for March medicals, yours might come soon.  Application volume is on the rise so it could take more than 2 months in the future.

You can check trackitt.com for time lines.

Also send an e-mail to the CIC office.

Luck could be a factor too.

Oh my...

None of H1b-SRS program were affected, though - but these cases were all PNP nominee within Canada.

Good luck to all of us!

In case the person lives in Canada and receives the passport request. Would it be possible to mail the passports from Canada to the CIC office in USA to have the PR visa stamped?

I think that is what they are doing.

I have a question,

Is it possible to travel in person to a Consulate and get it stamped the same day?

bendjoe:

A friend of mine did it and he travelled to Buffalo and get it stamped there.  He got it same day and was advised not to go to border right away since the computer there is not yet updated with his info.

I'd like to do the same...  if possible.  Can we inquire to CIC?

I have read a similar stamping experience somewhere. But wondering why people are mailing their PPs, if it is possible to go in person.
