i got email today frm attorney that my file# came 35xx.... weird but better than nothing!

Myapplication was received on 2nd feb. Today i received my file number which is XXXX-XX-1606. Can i track my application thru the file number? Or just wait for nommination....

it seems to me that they are going to close this program soon. the situation in Alberta is too bad at the moment.

i was told by my consulting firm that the ainp for H1B is no longer taking application. can someone please help explain the differnce in the old process and new process. am i not eligible for the new process as a new applicant. i had filled my application in last week of may through a consultant.

Old process required extra step before sending application (preassessment to receive invitation from AINP). Under new process, you can directly send your application to AINP.

And AINP SRS H1-B is still open. But they changed NOC list in May, so now not many H1-B holders are eligible. But if your occupation is listed on their NOC list, you still can apply for AINP!
