Hi ,
This thread is for those applicants who got their applications submitted at Alberta office after JAN 15 2009 WITH PRE-ASSESSMENT APPROVED.
SEEMS LIKE A NICE IDEA TO GET TO KNOW THEIR APP PROCESSING TRENDS THESE DAYS,PROCESSING TIMES ETC.
WOULD BE GOOD IF APPLICANTS CAN PUT JUST THEIR TIMELINES

PreAssesment sent: mid december Invitation letter received: Jan 5 Application sent: Jan 15 Also, I didnt send H1B form 009. I just sent 003. Form 003 never ask never asks for NOC code. Now, I am keeping my fingers crossed because i dont know if I sent wrong form. But when i got application material along with invitation letter, they just told me to send 003 and not 009.

I have heard of a case, two months after they received the file number. They posted the nomination letter directly. In the month of Jan & Feb looks like they are maintaining a silence.

In my invitation letter they said it may take between 40-60 days to process applications, and that time frame may increase as the volume of applications increases.
I went through other threads; it looks that once they assign the file number to pre-assessed applications, it takes extra 3 weeks to approve nomination. Add to that aditional week for delivery, and I estimate we could expect our nominations in mail sometime in May.
Also, I would not be surprised if they stop e-mailing file numbers all together since folks are anxious (like me) and keep e-mailing them and asking for application status. If they dont give us file number we cannot bug them, right! Then they can work in peace.
my 2 cents...

I think you are on to something. I had called AINP office by end of January to see if they have a file # or any confirmation if they received my fedex (I had sent my app a week before that) The lady told me that they are skipping the file # process to concentrate on sending the nominations.

When you mean u got invitation letter, you mean you got an email... Does that mean the app will be going thru pre assesment And what I am understanding is that file nos will be generate only for pre assesment

When you mean u got invitation letter, you mean you got an email... Does that mean the app will be going thru pre assesment And what I am understanding is that file nos will be generate only for pre assesment No, I first inquired about the process way back in dec, I think it was Dec 1st. They e-mailed me the next day the list of docs I need to submit for pre-assessment step and explained that if successful I will get an invitation. I e-mailed the pre-assessment docs Dec 3rd and got confirmation e-mail Dec 4th. Then i waited and waited and on Jan 25 I got a brown package in mail containing the invitation letter (with my occupation under which they invite me to apply) and AINP 003 and CIC forms and Provincial nominee CIC step instructions and strategic recritment document cheklist. So, I notarized docs they asked for and piled everything together, affixed the green sticker and sent back via UPS. It was delivered Feb 9. now, it is waiting time... Hope this clarifies

I heard someone on forum that they have skipped the issuing file numbers and are directly sending PNP certificates. I don't know how good it is...I was planning to apply for PCC and fingerprints after getting the file number, but not sure what to do now if they are skipping that step.
Also that file number is important ,if the nomination certificate gets misplaced in the mail etc and we have to ask for another copy of it we always have a file number to reference to.
