I am a Jan applicant and have not yet rcvd my nomination. However, I have moved on to another country, but I still want Canada as a backup now (it was my main back when I applied). Process is tooooo slow now.

Congrats, vegasbaby!

The file number you posted is the FIRST 4 digits. Could you post LAST 4 digits of your file number? (The first 4-6 digits are the same for almost all applicants. Last 4 digits can tell us something about AINP process.)

Thanks.

asking a question amounts to following someone?
my interest is solely to expand my knowledge/information on better immigration options available to us. i might be wrong, but are we all not on this forum for that purpose?

Musafir,

We are all here for one goal, to get information on the forum. Let us focus on that and not get confused.

Quick question.. i received this email dated Aug 7th.
I submitted my application April 8th and was received on the 16th of April.
Is this email normally received by everyone before getting a file number?

AINP Update: U.S. Visa Holder Category

If you are the recipient of this email, Alberta Employment and Immigration has received your application under the AINP U.S. Visa Holder Category.

What does this mean? We have your application and it is in the queue to be processed.

We have experienced a higher than expected volume of applications in the US Visa Holder Category. Because of this, priority will be given to applicants who have a valid job offer from an Alberta employer. All eligible applications will be processed, although processing times will vary significantly depending on the volume of applications received. In some cases, it may be at least 12 months before processing commences on an application.

Please advise.

Regards

It's normal and automatic procedure to tell you that find job if you are in rush OR wait and don't get frisked.

Best Luck to all of us.
