Hi Everyone,
I received the file number from PNP office

ApplnRecd/File#/FileRecd/Pre?/NomRecd NomLtrDt/User
5-Feb-09    xxxx-09-140x   15-May-09  N     No   justinline

Going by the present rate of nominations received the file number doesn't inspire much confidence.....that I will receive nomination in next 4 months or 8 months looks like could be year.

Question is when should I initiate the process for getting the PCC, FBI clearances ?

I would suggest - start PCC/FBI after you get nomination.
But, if you wish, you can also start it 6 months after they receive their application. at least collect all the fingerprint cards from state agencies....

If you have waited so long, wait for 1 more month and get all PCC and apply, give friends address and leave. whenever they ask for passport - try to come to US get it or just mail it.

Hi Justiline,
Congratulations. when did they generate your file number ?
may 15, was it the date when they sent out the file # through email or issuesed?

My sense said ...January applicants will get their nomination between in July and August.
So keep praying and hoping..!!

Hi Yo,
15 May is when I got the mail from Pnp.Office @ gov.ab.ca. The mail though says the application was received on 26 Mar 2009. Not sure if this places me in the Post 19 Feb bucket were by I have to maintain valid visa status till nomination?   Any thoughts any one?
