This is what it says , only part confusing is my app reached on 28th Jan (Fedex) , how can they say they recieved it on 9th March

Thank you for applying to the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP).  This is to confirm receipt of your AINP application on March 9, 2009.  A decision on your application may be made in approximately 8 months.

Congratulations dude.. people who applied in January keep checking your emails

Hello everyone...

Just to share with you my timeline so far. I applied under new process, sent application on January 15th, UPS confirmed reception on January 16th, 2009 and Alberta state on the email that they received it on February 27, 2009. After 3 months of being patient today they sent my file number ending with 1022 and stating that it will take 8 months to make a decision.

Seems like they are following some strange pattern....or may be files are being sorted by the NOC

But whatever atleast the things have started to move...

My timeline.. Application mailed January 14th ....Did not track....should have been delivered by USPS within 1 week...

So I hope I am in the ppl. getting notified this week......

Regarding the application accepted date as per the file number email, it gets generated when your file number is generated. So it doesn't mean your application reached on that date , rather the date when they processed your docs and found everything was ok and generated a file number for you. I called them up to make sure once I go back from US my application is valid and they confirmed me that it will be since i applied before 19th feb.

Guy's, do you have any idea as to how one should prove they have sent application before Feb 19th since I sent mine without registered post on 5th Feb...

Even I was thinking about that...I guess the only option right now is to by the postmark date or FEDEX/UPS courier booking date as they normally do for anything that is time sensitive.

Even if you sent through un-registered post and have the reciept number ready and go to www.usps.com and get the details of your mail delivery and print the screen shot and sent to AINP and claim that your application was recieved by AINP front desk on XXX date
