So another weekend started...

As divagirl confirmed from AINP, we might directly get nomination letter instead of application no. first.

Guys, what would be the plan then? I know some of you have already started preparing for PCC & FBI certificates.

punk316/divagirl/aNewHope/alberta1978: Have you guys submitted for PCC or FBI? or just waiting for few more weeks to submit? please let me know because I have submitted my application after yours.

I think the best thing to do is wait until you have the nomination in your hands. Once you have your nomination you can start to move forward with your application. To save time, in the mean time you can research how to get your state and country pcc's, translate some documents, get all the forms filled correctly, get the photos, and so on. So, as soon as you get your nomination you pack everything and send your application to Buffalo.

Will it be okie if initially we send all required documentation without PCC & FBI?

I have collected all the state PCC forms, got the fingerprints taken yesterday, but will not be mailing them for atleast another 2 weeks. Dont know when we will get the letter and I dont want my PCCs to expire and spend another $210 (for 2 people) again. Home country PCC -- I might apply next week from home (dont want to submit my Passport to Embassy in DC).

Forms, already I have the originals of what i had submitted and I dont have any changes till now. Photos, can get it in a day. What else is pending??? Only nomination letter... Sad

Send FBI only if you dont have the PCC. Dont wait for the PCC to come. PCC will be requested by CIC if required.

But if you have the PCC then go ahead and send all.

I applied for my home country PCC (from the Indian consulate in Chicago) nearly a month ago.  Another month before I can go collect it, after which the PCC should be valid for 3 months.  This gives me nearly 4 months leeway to receive the nomination (my file was received by AINP on January under the new process, no pre-assessment).

Will start on the FBI and state PCC's a month from now (most of these should take less than a month).

Cheers,

Hey folks:

How many of you have Non-IT Bachelor or Masters degree & computer diploma and working under 2171 as Business Analyst/Systems Analyst/requirement Analyst/Project Manager/IT Consultant.
Non-IT means degrees like Bachelor of Business Administration, MBA, Bachelor of Business Management. Did anyone of you get rejection? Kishore_Thaplaiya, who now has experience, while every body in his batch has nomination certificate. This guy was rejected on ground that your qualification are of "Business Methods Analyst" which is not in Alberta NOC list. He had the Non-technical degree or his job duties were not resembling to Systems Analyst role.
Is there anyone who got nomination with a Non IT Degree and Computer Diploma under 2171 category?
Alberta people don't have idea that How reddy & associates has invented a capsule and injection of system engineering. Housewife of reddy with degree in BA with homescience and Music (Hons.) were also working as Software Quality engineer because Reddy organize Classes of Black box testing, White Box testing, Load, regression, test plan and so on and finally 11 pages of resume. She doesn't have to have SSN even. Reddy placed many houswife on H4 visa on projects.
Is there any case where got rejection because of Non-technical qualification despite of hardcore technical SDLC experience?

First of all, as per the requirements. it is clearly stated that the applicant has to be on H1 Visa and must have worked in the US for atleast a year in the same occupation as the NOC which he/she is planning to apply AINP for. There is no mention that the degree or diploma has in the same stream as the NOC applied for.

Secondly, I tried to do a searh on "Kishore_Thaplaiya" on this site and there is no trace of any post. I am wondering if this is someone like the Kimberly or Maureen which you talk about and no one know if they really exist Wink

And another thing is that if some mentions a "Reddy" Experience, they have to provide pay stubs to AINP, which will require an SSN mention. I dont think it will good to mess around with something like that.
