All AINP applicants, What will be the best excuse to ask your current employer for H1 papers & reference ( LCA, I-129 etc) other than telling them straight out about Canada immigration ? I do not want to inform my employer about my intention to immigrate as I will most likely lose my job. Did any one face the same situation ? Please shake your creative side and help me out. (I had provided to AINP only current paystubs & I-797 & written to them that i cannot provide reference from current employer due to risk of losing job, However looking at the forum i feel that might be not enough-even though it has been almost 2 months since AINP rcvd my app & did not ask for anything...yet)
Thank you all in advance Alberta OR Bust

I needed a letter of my current duties on company letterhead for recertification from a Professional society (ASQ). I used the same letter for AINP purposes. Also, I am a direct hire with an American manufacturing company, which translates to they had already given me my copy of my LCA.

Tell them you need LCA & I - 129 for H1B Visa stamping in your passport. It is mandatory to provide them when you go for stamping. But the tricky part is, how will you convince them later if you are not really going for stamping.

But the tricky part is, how will you convince them later if you are not really going for stamping. Well in my case, I said my dependents are going on family vacation & need visa stamp before coming to US. Hence I requested as part of documentation for visa stamping. In case, if you are single... tell can them your parants are planning to come here and they need visa for which you need these documentation to be handy before going for visa stamping... Good Luck

Congrats buddy...I guess you don't have to worry about I - 129 copy from your employer anymore. I think your letter to AINP about the issue in getting reference from current employer has paid off. Folks, this is something we have to learn from. If we have any problems I think it worth while to mention that to Albeta before hand. I couldn't locate your time line for your application process. Would you mind posting it again ? Thanks.
