AINP 009 form has checklist given in it. Send them the photocopy of CIC filled up form and once nominated, the originals have to be sent to Buffalo, NY(in case if you are in US).

How many months do you think this new 2 step process would take?

My guess is:
2 months to say status on application i.e. YES or NO.
2 months to get NOMINATION
6-8 months for CIC approval & PR visa stamping.

This seems to be total 5+8 months process from this url which is updated in Feb 2009

http://www.albertacanada.com/immigration/immigrate/processingtimes.html

Notification (pre-assessment) - Up to two months
Candidate assessment           - Up to two months
Total AINP processing time     - Up to five months

and I'm assuming CIC approval & PR visa stamping - six to eight months

Do we need to send Fees and Photos with the AINP 009 form or not?  When do we need police clearance/verification certificates?
Did anyone receive email notification/confirmation from AINP for the application package sent after 01-01-2009 under the new process?

I have posted my application on 05-Feb-2009 and awaiting for their reply.

Listen to this url

http://event.on24.com/clients/default/presentation/default.html?titlecolor=000000&eventid=128638&sessionid=1&username=&partnerref=&format=rmaudio&key=16A4E5DA2854D37C20B13674CF24BBE5&text_language_id=en&playerwidth=721&playerheight=570&eventuserid=22427749&contenttype=A&mediametricsessionid=19369846&mediametricid=326420&usercd=22427749&mode=launch

No fees & no photos required when sending to Edmonton.  I think for Police Clearance Certificate(PCC), CIC would let us know when they require it because I heard PCC is valid for 3 months.

I have a 1.5 years old daughter (born in US & carrying US passport). Do I need to fill IMM 0008 Schedule1 Form?

As per the instructions of AINP 009 (2009/02) page# ii ...Dependent Child (18 Years of Age or Older)
[understanding: According to this I no need to fill IMM 0008 Schedule1, please correct me if I am wrong.]

Will appreciate, if you can clarify me the following: (sorry for the duplicate post)

Hi Guys,

I have a question since you already submitted your documents. In the instruction, it says

"A certified copy of your Degree, Diploma, Certificate or other documents regarding your education and training."

Did you submit certified copy of all your Certificates or only photocopy would be enough?

Advance thanks for any answers.

It says Certified copy -- so I did send certified / attested / notraized copy.

There is one section where we need to metioned the total years of education...

Just want to check with everybody that whether I am right or now while calculating my total years of education or not. Below is the education details

i)  Upto 12th Class [12 Years]
ii) Did Polytecnic Diploam in Computers (1996-1999) [ 3 Years]
ii) Did BCA from IGNOU (Joined in 1998, but completed in 2007:), its course of 3 years so I am considering it 3 years) [ 3 Years]
iii) MCA (Joined in 2001, but completed in 2007, it was of 2 years duration, so I am considering 2 years of this) [ 2 Years]

According to above, I am saying I have a total 20 years of education.

For children over 18 years & above IMM 0008 Schedule1 is must.

In my view I would say 12+3+3+2. But one way they may consider 12+Bachelors+Masters ie 12+3+2. It would be better to consult with a few more people on this...

I agree with email2kale.

Even a Master's in Engg adds up to only 18 years. I frankly do not think it is a bright idea to put 20 yrs for MCA. Or you may try and pray that the Canadians buy it, after all it worked with USCIS all these years.... oh never mind. Yeah, you don't want to end up in the same condition like the scores of desi consultant who claimed EB2 based on MCA or MSc or MCom.
