Hi. I am just wondering if my current age will have any effect on my chances of approval. I am currently 52 yrs old and have enough points in total but just worried about my age factor. Also do they only calculate points for my age on the day I applied? Or will they calculate again when my case is in process? Because that might be after my next birthday and according to the table I might get fewer points. Any help will be appreciated.

Calculations are made based on the time you applied. If you have enough in spite of your age then you are good to go.

Agreed. Your age will be considered at time of applying.

>No effect on case processing -- only the points (as per the table).
>Your info gets 'locked' the day your apps reach the CIC.
