After submitting Passport to Nairobi Ofc, how long should expect to get it back

Pleaseeee , i need help ... i need an answer
I have submitted mine and my family passports on 12 August 2011 . i was asked to submit before 30th August, which means am before the deadline. I want to know how long should i expect to receive my passports back...
I have tried several times calling ... Once an officer told me between 4 - 8 weeks, the 8 weeks was over on 12th August .

When i called to follow up  , i was asked to send a mail and the mail whenever i have sent, no one replies or if they do reply , its after 1 month.

Please kindly advise urgently.... i started freaking out now .. as my new employer is waiting for me to arrive .

Hi,
You should go to the embassy and explain to them that you may lose your job. Meanwhile tell your employer what's goin on. On another note, Am Kenyan too and waiting for PPR from the Canadians but in Boston. Goodluck

Hi,

If u live in Nairobi, you should physically go to the embassy so they can see you and see the urgency. Canada immigrations has a lot of waiting tho.

No Dear, i live in Dubai , thats the worst part, bcoz here the employer normally keeps the passports and its been 3 months since i sent my passports.
Am really confused , dont know what to do, they hardly reply to emails .
