After PR is granted, how soon do I need to move to Canada?

Hi everyone,
We're just starting the process of applying for PR in Canada (from Australia) under the independent business immigration category.
I've been able to find all the information I need online, except for this:
Once our application is approved, how long do we have until we need to move to (or at least visit) Canada?
When we applied for PR in Australia, there was an obligation to visit Australia at least once within the 1st year after our PR was approved and then the rule applied that residents need to live in the country for at least 2 years within a 5 year period.
I have read that that same "2 years within a 5-year period" rule applies in Canada as well, but my question is,
can we wait 2 or 3 years
after our application has been approved before we move to Canada?
Or do we need to physically set foot in Canada before a certain date
or anything, like in Australia?
If anyone knows what the Canadian rules are in this regard, I would appreciate if you could post the answer below.
Thank you!

Hi amandab1
Welcome to the forum
Once PR visa is granted, you must enter Canada within one year of ur medical test.
You can complete the landing formalities and come back to your home country to return later.
You must stay in Canada for 3 years in first 5 years to qualify for citizenship.
Btw, I am curious to know that why are you planning to leave Australia for Canada

Thanks SISH7255 for your answer, that's very helpful.
We're not looking for citizenship, only PR, so 2 years out of 5 applies, I think, rather than 3 years.
We're from Europe originally and just like living in different countries now and then. Even though we like Australia, we'd love to live in Canada for a few years too and the easiest way to do that is to get PR. We run our own online business so we can basically do that from anywhere.
Thanks again for the useful information.
