Hello.  I am sponsoring my wife.  I am in Canada nd she in Colombia with our kids. once my wife receives her permanent resident visa to travel to Canada, how long does she have to make the trip and be in Canada?  we were thinking of spending some time in the states before the big move to Canada to visit some relatives.  I wanted to wait for her visa to be accepted then ask for the US visa, then come to Canada.  Does anyone know?  thanks guys.

Her visa will expire when her medical does or when her passport does, whichever comes first (usually the medical expiration).
