hi ,

i tried to find answer of the following question on this forum and also on Official website but could not get one .
Suppose i land in Canada as Cook / Chef  (Skilled Workers and Professionals)
so after landing if i  dont work as cook/chef , and manage my funds from a rental property from outside canada or from any other business outside canada, will it affect my PR status or  my Citizenship application ?

is there any rule that force immigrants to work in the field under which they got immigration. ?

After landing one can do anything, follow any profession, business, to work or not to work etc etc. CIC have no concern about it. It will not effect the citizenship application.

but i cant understand how they overcome skill shortage if they dont specifiy your profession.

its very good, it mean i can do what ever i wish. But logically it dont looks ok, as if they dont monitor immigrants how they control over job market

No government should control the job market, maybe some oversight.
