You will have one year from the date of your medicals...

In my case, After the PR visa was stamped on the passport, they gave approximately 6 months to validate it.
I applied from Canada of course. Not sure if they give you more time if you applied from somewhere else

Dear,

The validity will be for one year from the date of issuance of visa and if, not availed within one year, you have to go for medicals again and pay your visa fee again.

I am not an expert at Canadian Immigration.
Please don't expect me to answer if your post title has urgent in it and it is not really urgent. Urgent is 911 or you have a definite deadline tomorrow, not that you would like to send in the application soon
