Once we send the complete package to CIO (Sydney, Nova Scotia)

1. Does CIO take care of sending the application package to the individual Visa office (New Delhi, in my case)?
2. Do we need to send anything to Visa office once CIO confirms that our application package is complete?

Thanks.

Thanks JanFeb.

Can you please elaborate. The application guide "What next" section is not very clear.

1. When you say NO  -  So CIO will ship the whole package back to us?

2. When you say YES - What are the documents that we need to send for individual visa office?

Thanks.

if you are applying under the current rules than this is how it goes.

1- you send your app to CIO.
2- CIO sends positive assesment to you through email.
3- CIO transfers your file to your visa office.
4- your visa office processes your file further... (if you have'nt sent your police clearance report than they will ask for it)

Thanks Haral. Now its clear.

Just one more question. In the application checklist, they have asked me to send everything including Police Clearance Cert. So after I send the complete package to CIO and get a positive e-mail, I don't have to do send anything, right? I will straight away get a AOR from New Delhi office?

Thanks.

Unless it's delayed for any odd reason and the PCC expires, then they will ask you to resend that one document. I think the documents valid for a year under the new rules! Upon scrutiny they might ask you to send additional documents, might not will. Documents such as bank statement, proof or marriage photos (if applicable) etc.

To recap the process, as Haral correctly said:

1) you send app to CIC
2) They calculate points and send you a PER (Positive eligibilty review) by email.
3) They transfer it to VO.
4) Visa office sends you an AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt)
5) They scrutinize your documents, request additional if required, set up an interview if required.
6) If all ok, ND sends you Med Req / RPRF (Right of Permanent Residence Fee) / PPR (Passport Request) all at once.
7) After they receive this, they do a security check.
Cool Then cash your RPRF (there's some confusion on when this is cashed) and issue you your visa.

Cheers.

I think the replier got the answers the wrong way around.

It should be:

1) YES - once your application has passed the completeness check, and then the eligibility review, at CIO - then CIO will mail the entire application to the visa office on your behalf, you do not need to send anything further unless asked for it

2) NO - you do not need to send anything to the visa office unless visa office request it. If you send your PCCs with your initial application, and everything moves in a timely fashion, then it's possible that all you will ever have to send after your initial application is the RPRF and passports to the visa office, and get your medicals done at a DMP.
