Affordable Furnished Apartments - Toronto Area

Hello all,
I am looking for affordable furnished apartments or suites in the Toronto area.  I will be staying 2 months for sure, maybe 3.  I've search extensively on the net and found quite a few options ranging from $1500 to $3000 a month for a 1 bedroom suite. 
Please share your experiences, recommendations, and advices.

Hi Slick,

I have an apartment in Toronto (yonge&eglinton area - very nice and central - close to subway etc) and am paying 1100 CDN but that's not furnished. It isnt easy to find a place right away if you arrive, since you dont have a credit history or a reference of a former landlord. Probably - if you are coming on your own or with your partner - you might want to contact some of those companies downtown who are offering apartments for 1 or 2 months. The price for a 1 bedroom apt shouldnt be higher than 1500 - 1700 CDN - and that's already quite a bit!

When are you planning to come over? I might have to travel back home for a while and maybe the timing fits and you can stay at my place...
