Guys,

My employer is going to file an AEO for me to service Canada, but he asked me to write a justification letter so he can attach it with the AEO Form, just in case, to explain why he is hiring an IT Programmer (Web Developer) from outside Canada, while the Canadian market is full with IT programmers. So now i am wondering what needs to be written in this letter?

My qualifications? skills? experience? certificates?

Thanks.

Or do you think that he can file the AEO form only? i mean without any explanations?

Hi,

Yes he can apply without the explanationletter.
He doesn't have to proof why he's hiring you instead of a Canadian, that rule is ment for an LMO.

regards,
Louise!

Many thanks for your reply, its comforting, but just to be extra sure, if they ask for such a letter, will my application be rejected? or will they give us time to provide one?

Hi,

during the AEO process HRSDC/SC will contact your employer by phone.
If they have questions they will ask them, you don't have to send in the extra info with your application.
But, with AEO your are still not certain of an appoval for your PR!
I also read on this forum in "arranged employment opinion 2010" that Pinck got her AEO approval without HRSDC/SC contacted her employer...
But if you feel better to send in some extra info, than you must do that! Wink
Be aware that the processingtime for an AEO approval is LONG these days....some of us are waiting for over 7 months! Shocked
If your employer doesn't mind to wait that long, because you cannot work for him in the meantime, than no worries and apply for AEO.
Good luck!

Regards,
Louise!

Now with or without the AEO I've passed the 67 points, actually i scored 72 points. but still, since I've offered a job in Canada i prefer to include it with my PR application, because I've been told that AEO would speed up the process! so i hope this is true.

Thanks.
