Can anybody share their inputs for the list of medicines (basic only) to be bought from India. e.g. for Cough, cold, headache, etc. I am landing in december 2nd week

Hi Danny:  Strongly suggest getting a flu shot NOW so you have at least two weeks to get your immune system at its peak.  I think others have discussed similar things in other threads (check out "medicines that can carry" and do a search at the top of the forum page).  Have a great flight!

IMHO, Nothing needed... those "over-the-counter" drugs r available @ similar prices here... if u avoid Rexal, Shoppers Drug Mart & its types, & head for your local pharmacy (there r many Indian owned too) - u'd get it in the same price, as in India (a dollar +/- wouldnt hurt that much, I guess). Besides, here we do not fall sick as often... u may find "common ailments" a thing of the past. U may use that space for something more important to bring-in.

Note: It was IMHO.
