Dear all,
I would really appreciate it, if any experienced member can advise me regarding my situation.
Bachelor degree of Medicine and Surgery 18 years of studying -----> 20 Points 1 Year work experience -----> 15 Points English Language High and non in French Language ----> 16 Points Age 25 -----> 10 Points Uncle in Canada -----> 5 Points
Total Points 66 I have no problem with any other category like funds or any other papers.
I was thinking of applying now, if it didn't work I'll have 1 more year experience so I'll get 68 Points and apply again.
What do you think? Any Advice is really appreciated.
Thank you,
Dr. Elasa

Since you won't pass the pass mark of 67, why you want to apply now? You need to cross the pass mark.

If you apply without meeting the pre defined conditions, you will be rejected.

-Anything less than 67 won't work -Make sure your uncle is doing well (he is working and not claiming unemployment kind benefits), otherwise instead of helpful, this would be biggest obstacle to get immigration. -Once you get migrated, be ready to study again, to get licence to practice as Dr. Good luck.

Thank you Mezo2009 for your reply, I was reading about successful stories with only 66 points, I assume from your reply it's not true? I was thinking of sending the application to give it a try if that's true, I mean there is nothing to lose. Plus my years of study is 18, but in my country they recognized it as 1 bachelor degree instead of 2 bachelor degrees like the Canadian Universities. If I was refused this year, does it affect my application when I re-apply?

It is true and one of senior member had shared link for such story.... but that was not normal processing... in that, that applicant had to appeal, if I can remember correctly, had to take his case to court... Here we are talking about regular process to get PR.... What you have hear is rarest of rare story...

Rejection now on basis of not passing the score will not impact your new file later. But my friend, the fill will be rejected 100% as it doesn't meet the MI 'Ministerial Instructions'. You will waste time, effort and money.
If you can prove that you worked more than a year, or set for French TEF exam or anything else so you can get that additional point, then you better think.
Good luck.

Thanks for your reply I've already done the MCCEE and passed, and I'm studying now for the MCCQE1. My uncle is doing well there, he immigrated last year and he's doing a lot of businesses there. I went to visit him in July and I actually stayed there for 5 months, and I really liked it. And he's the one who encouraged me to Immigrate.

Thank you guys for the help.
I think I'll go with the french language, cause It's gonna take less time than having an extra 1 year of experience. Is it easy to get those 2 points by studying french? I studied french for 5 years in school, but I really can't remember anything.

Your application needs to wait. Wait for the changes that are under review you may end up getting 12 points for age and 20 for language skills. With these changes the max points that you can get for exp is 15 and same will be awarded for more than 1 year of experience ( may be 15 points for 4 years) Dear all,
I would really appreciate it, if any experienced member can advise me regarding my situation.

I beg to differ! It does say that the max. points will be reduced from 21 to 15 .. But where does it say that you'll be able to earn 15 points for just an year of exp?? i assume its going to be 15 for 4 years of exp then 13 .. 11 .. etc YOur application needs to wait. Wait for the changes that are under review you may end up getting 12 points for age and 20 for language skills. With these changes the max points that you can get for exp is 15 and same will be awarded for more than 1 year of experience as done now

Hi Dr., just wait to increase your work experience and then only apply as this will help you in increasing your points. Cheers..

Thank you my friends for this advise and sharing this information. Any idea when these changes will apply? From my understanding to the things you've say I will lose 4 points regarding my experience and earn 2 points for age and 4 points for langauge, please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm afraid that Medicine won't be in the 28 Skilled worker categories next year, is it possible? Another question. I was in Canada couple of months ago and I actually left my bank account there open with the funds available for Immigration. Does that help with the Immigration process? Thank you all

DO not apply since your score is below 67. applying without reaching 67 points means complete rejection. if you really wanna apply now then get married to someone who had completed either diploma or Bachelor degree so that you can get extra 4 points from your spouse.
