Advice needed for my Restoration of Status

Hi,
My work permit expired in 28th June 2010.I got a job before that expiry and I was waiting for my LMO to be issued.I had to apply for the restoration of status on that very 28th June and I sent my application by post.Now I have got my positive LMO letter.But I am still waiting for my visa restoration.How long it takes to get the restoration done? And also can I now send another application requesting the extension of my work permit? Please help me with this information.

Hello. I am interested on your case. I hope everything turned up well. I am in a similar situation with the exception that I did not try to renew my expired work permit. I actually applied for a visitor's visa which I received already expired. So I had to apply for a restoration of status on July 22 2011. Since then I have had no reply.

Can you give me some insights onto your case please? It will really help me understand my situation. Thanks.

im also waiting for my restoration of status and work permit..i it send by mail last june 26,2011 and haven't heard anything from CIC..

I received and answer for my restoration of status on October 12 2011! I got a new visitor visa. They took 3 months to give it it.

My original visa expired on the 28th January 2012. I'm going applying for the Restoration of Status in the next day or so as I'm about to reach the 90 day limit. I'm going to be applying for a new 1 year permit under the IEC programme, however that is likely to take 8 to 10 weeks.....The company I'm working for are also looking at sponsoring me......I've a few questions (1) anyone know how long it takes to get the restoration of Status as a worker approved....(2) can I apply for restoration of Status on the basis that my employer is looking to sponsor me....or is it based on me waiting for a new Work permit to come thorugh... (3) Do I need to be here working on a Permit while my employer is sorting out my sponsorship...?? Any help or advice would be muich appreciated.!
