Hello,

I really need some expert advice and will really appreciate if anyone has experience similar situation to comment.

I'm a Quebec Applicant under skilled category.
My passport has been sent to the Nairobi Embassy since September 2010 and until now we haven't received anything.
I'm actually without status since January 2011 in an EU country as i was unable to renew my visa without passport.
I have a representative who told me to wait till i received the visa. I told her to enquire about same but till now nothing from her part.
My application still shows in process.

So frustrating. Is it normal for the embassy to keep the passports with them for so long?

Please advice.

Many thanks.

No it should not, of course. It's been over five months. You need either to call them or send a fax with urgent heading. It usually takes between 4-6 or 8 weeks maximum to stamp the visa.

Good luck.
