Advice for a good invitation letter?

Hi everyone!

We sent our package to Miss. in April and Buenos Aires got it on June 4. So far so good..! lol But im about to write an invitation letter for my hubby who is still in Argentina so he could hopefully come visit.. but since he already got refused in the past (2006),because he didnt have enough proof that he would go back to Argentina, im nervous about the letter. Someone has advice on what to write and how to write it to get the more chances for him to get it? I mean its not magic but something well written could help no? I was thinking about to put a proof from work about the money i make (since im applying through Qc i didnt have to put those things in the package) and talking about him coming for a few months to learn french? haha.. im lost. Everytime i try to start writing it the blank page scares me.. not knowing where to start.

Your income is relevant, but the most important thing is for him to prove that he will leave Canada before his visa expires. So he will have to show strong ties to Argentina: a return ticket; proof of his job; a letter from his boss giving him two weeks (or whatever) off work, and saying he is expected back; proof of property, money in the bank, and investments; a mortgage or apartment lease; proof of enrollment in school and fees paid for classes that start after he gets back (if relevant); a child left behind (if relevant).
Even with all this, most TRV applications from someone with a spouse in Canada are refused.

So your invitation letter should state that you will support him during his stay, detail his plans for the visit, and state that he knows about the immigration rules and will not jeopardize his chances for a PR by overstaying.

Thank you! Our problem is that 1. he will leave his job to come here (so no vacations letter or so) 2. he doesnt have money.. lol He only has a land that will be all paid in a few months..

The worst is that they ask with the Sponsorship to prove that we are a real couple and that we will live here but at the same time if we want to be together before he gets the PR we have to proove that he will go back there.. doesnt make sense no?

Like he told me yesterday; he doesnt feel like he is there and he doesnt feel like he is here either..

If he quits his job his TRV will almost certainly be refused. It would be better for him to keep his job, and on the TRV application say he wants to come visit you during his vacation. Once he is in Canada he can always stay longer than he said he would, within the limits of the time they give him on the visa.
His land is good evidence he will return.
I agree it is ridiculous - you have to simultaneously show you want to immigrate to Canada and don't want to stay there.

we were refused 3 times i was outside Canada with him, both working outside and both with no intentions to stay in Canada at that time, just to spend Holidays with my family; i think with each application, we got better and better with proofs and letters but still in vain...the invitation letter and other documents were even notarized again in vain...so i doubt the way u write it will make a difference

what they need to see is strong ties with his country which is so hard to show; permanent job and even have ur own business might not be enough; owning land, car, going back to school could help; still, be careful what u write and how, u don't want to contradict ur sponsorship application; having ticket both ways also could help but does not guarantee anything

lastly, from my impression, they don't even look at the new proofs; if u already applied and were refused there r higher chances to b refused straight away again, just by looking over the previous application

but don't panic; if there would b emergency or u would b 8 months pregnant, maybe they would let him come to visit (i don't say to do that though)
