I did my medical check for Skilled worker PR application, Buffalo office. The DMP said that the X-ray shows old infection but he did not say which kind of infection so I am worried that in Ottawa they will ask for further tests. It is about one month now from doing the test.
Does anybody know how long will it take them to ask for additional tests (if any) ?
Best Regards

Hmmm don't really know how long, but in my case I did my Meds on Nov 2nd, and received a letter from Ottawa on Dec 24th for additional medical test, and there wasn't even anything wrong with my meds either. Just a little percentage of protein in my Urine test which my DMP ignored, as according to him it was normal, but Ottawa didn't accept it and had to get the test done again. So I figure give yourself another 2 weeks if you do not hear anything then hopefully you should be fine.

Thanks so much Ozzie. It looks like they need people to be healthy more than normal. Let's hope it will be fine.

Hey Egyman

Our X Rays(my wife's and mine's) show a very old scratch on our longes due to some infection we had a long time ago. we did the medicals last September, so far I did not hear nothing from them. (it has been 6 months since then) I really hope that the "no news are good news" statmement, works on our case.

Regards
Eduardo

Hello,

I had my medical exam on December 7.  I have scarring on one lung due to pneumonia last summer, and the physician told me I would probably hear from Ottawa.  He was right:  in early February I got a request for further testing.  I need a repeat x ray and a sputum test to rule out tuberculosis. The sputum test takes eight weeks to culture. By April 21 the results should be on their way to Ottawa.  From then?  Who knows?
