Additional Family Information (IMM 5406) Section A.

My "soon to be" wife will be filling out IMM 5406 Section A.

I am a Canadian Citizen and will be her sponsor.

Does she put me as her "Spouse or Common Law Partner" ?  My understanding is no since this document is for anyone that is not already a PR or Citizen.

However, she will have to sign section A, which says "I certify that I do not have a spouse....".  Technically this is not true.

Am I put as her spouse or not ?  None of the guides are very clear on this ...

From my understanding of that form, she would put you in Section A if you were her spouse or common-law partner.  From the sounds of it, you are neither.

She will be my spouse when we file the application.
