Hello everyone again,

So my situation is very simple, I am the only applicant and I'm being sponsored by my common-law partner from ourside Canada. In the application kit there is 'additional dependants' form which I don't think I need, as don't have any dependants. Can I just leave this form out or do I send it anyway, leaving it empty or labelled as 'not applicable'?

Another form that I don't understand is the additional family information. So at first I obviously put my name on as the applicant, and then my common law partner on the next line. Do I need to fill in anything else (parents, siblings) if they are NOT moving with me? I've already given the details of my parents in another form. Can I assume that for this additional family information form I don't put anyone else but myself and my common law partner?

Gosh, why can't they make the forms really simple! Oh well, hopefully you can help me  Smiley

Hello !

Additional Family Information ( IMM 5406) is mandatory and all columns have to be filled, even if  your parents or siblings are not accompanying with you. Don't ignore any columns otherwise your application will be rejected !

FYI : The information is required to CPC In case if you are sponsoring  them in future !

Section A - kindly fill your details, spouse, mother and father.

Section B - Not applicable

Section C - Kindly fill if your having siblings even if they are married.

Regards and wishes,

On your checklist at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp it says that you only have to do the additional dependents form if applicable so no, you don't have to fill it out.

You must list your parents and siblings in the additional family information form.  It is not even an option to take them with you but you must list them anyway.
