I have been nominated by BC PNP and send my federal application to buffelo and have not recieved any thing yet except the file no. But I am planning to get married soon. She is not now in canada as well. Now, If I want add her application what will be the process. Any idea?

It just like having a new baby as a dependant. You have to be married first before you can include her in the application. provide marriage certificate, additional forms and certifcates for spouse or maybe you have to revise/change some of the areas in the submitted form with marital status and resubmit.

Thanks. But in my case, she is not in canada right now. If I submit all of revised papers to BC PNP, is she supposed to get a nominated certificate as well. I am confused how she supposed to apply and where she can apply? Can I just send all of our papers to buffalo or she needs to send to her own country visa processing center.

your spouse is considered as a dependant. not necessarily need to be nominated in order to join you here in Canada, if your'e already here. Once your application to buffalo was approved, all your dependants listed in the application can come here in Canda provided all of you undergone medical, security checks..hope it will helps.

Yes, I am right now in Canada. So, she don't need to apply to federal (buffalo) separately! I just need to add all of her information and papers with my application. But wondering how does the federal people contact with her when she needs to undergo for medical or security check?

If you have any idea can you share with me which forms I need to submit for her?

Thanks,

Yes you can add at the federal part. At various stages they will ask you if you have any changes in family composition like marriage, divorce, child birth, adoption etc. That is when you declare you are married and you will be asked to inlcude your dependant on the application.

You are the primary applicant so your qualification is what matter in PNP.
FBI certification will be required if she resides for more than 180 days in the US at time of adding her to the application. If she is not present for 180 days in the US all you need to do is get the police clearance from the countries she lived in for more than 180 days at a strecth.
Medicals she will have to prior to approval. CIC will send you her medical request.

Do you know when its the easiest time to add spouse to federal application?

And how much of a delay will it to add to the processing of one's application?

Hi,

Nice discussion going on. I have applied for PNP BC now waiting for approval. But planning ahead.  Smiley

So, I can add my spouse at any step of federal application processing. But confused few more things. My spouse does not living with me right now, we live two seperate country. So, if I add my spouse with my federal application, do the federal people contact with my spouse as well. I mean for medical, passport request or some other cases. or they just contact with me as I lived in canada. Is our file transferred to different visa office or it processed in same visa office? What is the chance to approve our PRship at the same time or does it differ?

thanks,

Sroy
