I have a large amount of extended family in Quebec because my mother's parents were born to Canadians (however, neither were Canadian citizens - they were born in America and lived their whole lives here.) However, none of these people fit what's on the adaptability part of the skilled worker points tool, which says "(parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, sister, brother, niece, nephew, child or grandchild, spouse or common-law partner who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident living in Canada)"

I have a lot of second cousins and people of that sort, but no one in my immediate family. Does this count as having family in Canada?
