Hi Everyone

I just found out that the application my wife had submitted to the CIC-M on june 30 2011 was not acknowledged yet by the CIC-M  and when my wife has called yesterday they said they didnot recieve any application by that name. She sent it through Canada Post Express. When we tracked it on the Canada Post internet, the delivery confirmation is cleary written there and it says it has been delivered on june 30 2011. I dont get it. Can any one advise me and my wife what to do to make sure if the CIC-M has recieved the application.

We are more or less in the same boat. Our application reached Mississisauga on June 30th but we havent gotten around to calling them yet. Just been waiting patiently. Now Im scared to know what could have happened with our application *gulp*.

Hope we hear the good news soon and that our applications are in safe hands! Smiley

they are working on apps received June 29 so maybe next wednesday as they update their website wednesday at about 1pm EST

Does that mean they have recieved our apps and havent yet started working on it? That is why when my wife has called yesterday to make sure if the application got there, the guy she was speaking on the phone said there was no such a file in their system. Thank you. I appriciated it.

CPC-Mississauga does NOT send acknowledgement letters to say they have received your application.

You will ONLY hear from them by letter/email when the sponsor has been approved (which is currently approx. 54 days from the day they receive it)

The only way to be sure they have received it, is if you sent your application recorded/signed for.

Calling the call centre before you have exceeded ~54 days will not really help either, as you're not going to be on their 'system' until they start processing it and approve the sponsor.

The processing time for our application has exceeded 54 day. They recieved it on 30th june 2011 as per the delivery message by the Canada Post. When we called them to see if they have it, they said they dont. Does that mean they have yet to process it or did our application get delivered to wrong address? Your thoughts are well appriciated.

You might want to read the processing times for Mississauga.  They are working on applications received 29/June/2011.  http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp

Yes they started working on the application received on June 29 on friday, then there is a weekend.. So you should probably hear something next week for sure...
