Calgary N.E. will suite you best.

Go into any local Desi store, there are ton of Rent advertisement,

For few months stay close to local Transit system... Bus Stop or even local Train system... you will save travel time.

I think its a matter of taste
I live in calgary since 2008 and i first lived in the Ne then Nw no in the SE and honestly wont chage the area whe I live

i never liked the north there are basically no trees the I live in midnapore next to a private lake and fish creek low rent full house 2 bedrrom

800 m from the c train and 1km from sobeys, superstore, safeway, coop, and walmart

Again its a matter of taste

I didnt like the NE at all

If u want to see whats for rent go to www.homerent.ca

hi glowingheart and other members that lives in calgary

Would like to know more about the life in calgary

1) lifestyle and people
2) healthcare
3) cost of rental of housing
4) transportation cost eg the cost of taking buses and the c train
5) job opportunities

Thanks

1) I love calgary is a small town that wants to be a city or a city with small town feel

2) Healthcare same as all Canada (slow)  4 big hospitals 1 childrens hospital

3) the rent varies depending on the size and location but 2 bedroom apt or house main level will be between 1200 to 1500 and a full house can be between 1500 to 3000 depending on size and location visit homerent.ca and you can get an idea

4) transportation: I drive so i don't take public transit but I know its very good and in schedule cost i think its 2.5 a trip no matter how many connections or $80 a month

5) Jobs depending on what you are looking for and what your skills are
if you are regular labour there are lots, if you are in the oil and gas area this is the town to be, it always takes a couple of crappy positions in a job before you can get a good one cause you need to earn what they call the Canadian Experience and thats very important here

but if you are skilled and good at what you do you will make it here

hope this helps
